Held at the Kennel Club of Philadelphia, the show was taped on Nov. 14-15, with only officials, handlers and their dogs and broadcast personnel allowed inside the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, show officials announced last month.

And after two days of competition, Claire, a Scottish Deerhound, was named Best in Show, beating 168 breeds and varieties recognized by the American Kennel Club, NBC Sports reported.

Two breeds competed for the first time in the National Dog show; the Barbet, a French water dog, was part of the Sporting Group, and the Dogo Argentino competed in the Working group.

A third new breed was allowed, the Belgian Laekenois, but no dogs represented the type this year, NBC Sports reported.
