Amazon Prime delivery truck hits car, jumps curb, crashes into house

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A Pennsylvania woman received an unexpected delivery Thursday when an Amazon Prime truck arrived inside her house.

According to Pittsburgh-based WPXI, an Amazon delivery person was dropping off packages outside of a customer’s home when the truck began to roll down a hill.

Officials said the parked vehicle’s emergency brake failed.

Authorities said the truck struck a gas meter, clipped a car and came to a stop when it crashed into a house.

A wall of the home was pushed in two feet, WPXI reported.

No one was hurt, and officials said no charges are being filed.

Residents in the area are glad the hit gas meter didn’t cause a fire and more damage.

A representative for Amazon told WPXI the company is working to address the situation and resolve issues.

“We are working quickly to resolve this matter and are in direct communication with the customer and law enforcement,” the spokesperson said.
