Tool's Adam Jones launches Les Paul Custom Art Collection with Epiphone

Tool guitarist Adam Jones is adding a fine art twist to his collaboration with Epiphone.

The Les Paul Custom Art Collection features seven unique recreations of Jones' beloved Silverburst Les Paul, each featuring artwork from one of five acclaimed visual artists: Mark Ryden, Frank Frazetta, Julie Heffernan, Korin Faught and Ernst Fuchs.

"When I think of art, I see both the visual and the aural as equally important, with one bolstering the other and giving listeners, or viewers, a more complete experience," Jones says. "Naturally, when Epiphone and I started discussing the potential of a custom art collection, I was instantly dedicated from the get-go."

The first guitar in the Les Paul Custom Art Collection features a Ryden piece titled The Veil of Bees.

Jones has previously released signature guitars with Epiphone's parent company, Gibson.

Tool toured earlier this year in support of their latest album, 2019's Fear Inoculum. Over the last few weeks, the often-cryptic rockers have been teasing something related to their 2006 record, 10,000 Days.
