As reported by Fox 13, electronic music pioneers Daft Punk have officially split after 28 years of making music together.
The helmet wearing French electronic duo have scored 14 Grammy nominations over the years, winning 6 of those. Members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, have had a 28 year career that was a huge part of the movement to bring house music to the mainstream. Their mysterious persona only fueled their appeal and massive fanbase.
The announcement was made by the band today with an 8 minute YouTube video simply titled ‘Epilogue’. Kathryn Frazier, the band’s longtime publicist, then confirmed the split for The Associated Press.

The group has an impressive list of hits including “One More Time,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and “Get Lucky” - just to name a few. They have influenced countless musicians and single-handedly helped shaped the electronic music industry.
Daft Punk will be truly missed, but their massive library of work will keep us dancing forever!
