Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers, just pretty much admitted they would be dropping a new album soonish. During an interview he was asked about when a sixth album could be coming and he said quote, “In a perfect world, I could see the end of the year having something, but I think it’s probably, it’s looking more likely that it would be early 2020.” More here

Well this is pretty sweet. The 50th anniversary of Woodstock is coming up and they’re having a festival. It’s happening in upstate New York with quote, “
with over 60 acts (apparently consisting of the “biggest names and emerging talent in rock, hip hop, pop and country”) set to play across three main stages.” The first acts will be announced next month. More details here

Jeff Bridges accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award last night at the Golden Globe Awards and his speech was awesome. In his speech, he said quote, “We are alive. We can really make a difference. We can turn this this ship in the way we want to go, man. Towards love. Creating a healthy planet for all of us.” More here
Greta Van Fleet is the topic of discussion for tons of musicians and music lovers. Because the band’s sound is so familiar to classic rock legends ‘Led Zeppelin’, they get alot of comparison and bring about a conversion on the state of rock, cycles of music, copying, ect.
Here’s a great video explaining the connection between the two bands and how they are different/similar. If you ever get in a convo debating Greta/Zeppelin, this video gives some good ammo.
But some huge musicians are openly backing the band like Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan.
In a recent interview, Billy said the band is ‘...Great, and sky’s the limit for where they can go.”
